KMZ FPSO
In the summer of 2005, Grenland Group together with Kanfa, started the design of the topside processes for the first FPSO in the Gulf of Mexico.
The client was Bergesen Worldwide Offshore (BWO) that is to own and manage the FPSO "YÙUM K'AK'NÁAB" for PEMEX, the Mexican national oil company.
The topside consisted of 4 main modules;
- M10 Separation module; Built to handle 200 000 barrels of oil and 120 MMSCF of gas pr day
- M30 Flare module
- M45 Gas treatment module
- M60 Gas compression module
The modules were fabricated and delivered in Dubai in the summer of 2006, a staggered delivery with the M10 separation module, delivered 11 months after contract award.
The modules were installed at BWO's conversion yard in Singapore, and were on schedule for first oil in the Gulf of Mexico field Ku-Maloob-Zaap, in the first half of 2007.
